02
Using the website
You may use the website only for lawful purposes.
You must not:
- Interfere with the operation or security of the website
- Attempt to access another person’s account or information
- Introduce malicious software or harmful material
- Use automated systems to place fraudulent orders or misuse promotions
- Scrape, extract or reproduce website content at scale without permission
We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to protect Asteri, our customers or the website.
03
Intellectual property
The website and its original content—including Asteri text, photography, illustrations, design, packaging, logos and brand marks—belong to Stardust Family Group Limited or are used with permission from their respective owners.
You may view and use the website for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not reproduce, modify, distribute or commercially exploit our content without prior written permission.
References to coffee farms, producers, varieties, regions and third-party marks remain the property of their respective owners.
04
Accounts
You are responsible for providing accurate information, keeping your login details secure and notifying us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.
We may temporarily restrict or close an account where we reasonably believe it:
- Has been compromised
- Is being used fraudulently
- Is being used to misuse CoffeeBank, discounts or promotional benefits
- Materially breaches these terms
Where appropriate, we will explain the reason and give you an opportunity to contact us. Closing an account does not remove your right to recover any refundable customer-deposited CoffeeBank balance.
05
Orders and contract formation
When you submit an order, you are offering to purchase the selected products.
An automated payment or order-received message confirms that we have received your order but does not necessarily mean that we have accepted it. A contract is formed when we send an email confirming that we have accepted the order and it has entered preparation.
Before accepting an order, we may decline it because:
- A limited release has sold out
- Payment has not been authorised
- We cannot deliver to the selected destination
- The order breaches a purchase limit
- There is an obvious pricing or product-information error
- We reasonably suspect fraud or misuse
If we decline an order after payment has been authorised or collected, we will return the payment in full.
06
Coffee and product information
Some releases are roasted to order, while others are prepared from carefully rested small batches. The expected preparation time will be shown on the relevant release page where applicable.
Coffee is an agricultural product. Natural differences between harvests and batches may result in small variations in appearance, density, settled weight, roast appearance and cup character. These normal variations do not affect your statutory rights where a product is faulty or not as described.
Product images are illustrative, although we take reasonable care to present colours and packaging accurately.
Any allergen or ingredient information required for a product will be provided before purchase and with the product where required.
07
Prices and payment
Prices are displayed in pounds sterling and include VAT where applicable.
Delivery charges are shown once the required delivery information has been entered and before payment is confirmed.
Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store complete card or bank-account details.
We may change prices for future orders. Price changes will not affect a contract that we have already accepted.
If an obvious pricing error is identified before we accept an order, we may contact you to offer the correct price or cancel the order and return any payment taken.
08
Delivery, cancellations and returns
Delivery destinations, charges and estimated timings are explained in our Delivery Policy.
Cancellation, return and refund rights are explained in our Returns and Cancellations Policy.
Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights.
09
Asteri Collective
Asteri Collective is a recurring paid membership offering benefits that may include eligible UK delivery, member pricing, early access and other benefits described on the membership page.
The price and monthly or annual billing period are shown before joining. Membership renews automatically for the selected billing period until cancelled.
Collective benefits:
- Apply only while the membership is active
- Are personal to the account holder
- Cannot normally be transferred or exchanged for cash
- Cannot be combined with other offers unless expressly stated
You may cancel through your account. Cancellation stops the next renewal and the membership ordinarily remains active until the end of the period already paid for.
This does not affect any cancellation or refund rights provided by law.
10
CoffeeBank
CoffeeBank is not a bank account, savings product or regulated payment service. It is an Asteri scheme through which you add money to your Asteri account to spend on eligible Asteri products.
You choose a recurring monthly deposit between £15 and £100. Deposits may be collected by card or Direct Debit. You may also make eligible one-off top-ups where this option is available.
Asteri adds 20% CoffeeInterest to each eligible successful deposit or top-up. CoffeeInterest is promotional coffee credit; it is not financial interest and cannot be withdrawn as cash.
Your CoffeeBank account records separate balances for:
- Money deposited by you
- Promotional CoffeeInterest
- Refund, gift or goodwill credit where applicable
Money deposited by you remains refundable subject to deductions for amounts already spent and the rules explained in the CoffeeBank Terms.
If you withdraw deposited money, the CoffeeInterest associated with that money will be removed. If you cancel future deposits but leave the balance in your account, your remaining deposits and CoffeeInterest can remain available in accordance with the CoffeeBank Terms.
CoffeeBank includes Asteri Collective benefits while the qualifying CoffeeBank arrangement remains active, as explained on the CoffeeBank page.
Gifts credited to CoffeeBank do not earn CoffeeInterest unless expressly stated.
The full rules governing spending order, withdrawals, transaction reversals, cancellations and inactive accounts appear in the CoffeeBank Terms. If there is an inconsistency, the more specific CoffeeBank Terms apply to CoffeeBank.
11
Promotions and benefits
Discounts, promotional codes, member prices and CoffeeBank benefits cannot be combined unless expressly stated.
Promotions may have separate eligibility requirements, expiry dates or purchase limits. We may refuse or reverse a promotional benefit where it has been obtained through fraud, technical manipulation or a clear mistake.
This will not affect customer-deposited CoffeeBank money or any statutory rights.
12
Gifts and third-party delivery
If you ask us to deliver an order to another person, you confirm that you are entitled to provide their name and delivery address for that purpose.
Personal messages are printed or reproduced as submitted. We may decline content that is unlawful, threatening, discriminatory or otherwise seriously offensive.
13
Our responsibility to you
We are responsible for losses you suffer that are a foreseeable result of our breach of these terms or our failure to use reasonable care and skill.
We are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was formed or for losses caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, provided that we take reasonable steps to minimise disruption.
These consumer terms do not cover business losses, including loss of profit, revenue, opportunity or business interruption. Separate terms may apply to hospitality, wholesale and other business purchases.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for:
- Death or personal injury caused by negligence
- Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
- Breach of statutory consumer rights
- Defective products where liability cannot lawfully be excluded
14
Events outside our reasonable control
We are not responsible for delay caused by events outside our reasonable control.
If this happens, we will contact you where appropriate and take reasonable steps to reduce the effect of the delay. If a material delay continues, you may have the right to cancel and receive a refund for products not supplied.
15
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms where our services, legal obligations or operating arrangements change.
The version in force when we accept an order will govern that order. Changes to ongoing memberships or CoffeeBank will be communicated in advance where they materially affect your rights or obligations.
16
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you retain the benefit of any mandatory protections provided by the laws of that part of the United Kingdom.
You may bring legal proceedings in the courts applicable to where you live. We encourage you to contact us first so that we can try to resolve any concern directly.
