House of Asteri
Responsibility
Coffee carries more than flavour. It carries people, place, process and consequence.
At Asteri, responsibility means choosing carefully, speaking honestly and building the brand with respect for the origins, producers, importers, customers and causes connected to every cup.
We do not believe luxury should be careless. From sourcing and packaging to preservation, waste reduction and Stardust Giving, every decision is made with long-term value in mind.

Section 01
Responsible Sourcing
Asteri works with coffees chosen for provenance, traceability and cup character. Where possible, we source through importers and partners who prioritise producer relationships, fairer trading practices, quality premiums and long-term origin support.
Not every exceptional coffee carries the same certification, and we will not pretend otherwise. Some coffees may be certified, some may come through direct or relationship-based sourcing, and some may be rare lots where quality, traceability and producer value are assessed individually.
Traceability
We aim to understand where each coffee comes from: country, region, producer, altitude, varietal, process and harvest.
Quality Premiums
Rare and high-scoring coffees often command higher prices. We believe exceptional work at origin should be recognised in the value chain.
Importer Standards
We choose importers and sourcing partners carefully, favouring those who can provide transparency, documentation and responsible origin relationships.
Section 02
Certification, Honestly Stated
Certifications such as Fairtrade, Organic or Rainforest Alliance can play an important role in coffee, but they are not the only way to assess responsibility. Asteri will always state clearly when a coffee carries a recognised certification. And we will not imply certification where it does not exist.
Section 03
Less Waste, More Intention
Our approach is built around smaller, more considered releases. By planning roast cycles, monitoring rest windows and preserving selected rare coffees through CryoCapture X24™, we aim to reduce unnecessary waste while protecting flavour.
Small-Batch Planning
We roast with intention, reducing the need to overproduce.
Rest-Window Release
Coffee is released when it is flavour-ready, not simply because it is available.
Rare Coffee Preservation
Selected Reserve and Black Label coffees may be preserved to protect exceptional lots from unnecessary degradation.
Useful Surplus
Where suitable, surplus coffee may be used for testing, cupping, brew development or training rather than discarded.

Section 04
Packaging & Preservation
Packaging has a purpose: to protect the coffee inside. For everyday coffees, we seek practical packaging that protects freshness and reduces unnecessary waste. For Reserve and Black Label releases, preservation may require higher-barrier materials to protect rare coffees properly.
We will continue to review our packaging choices as better materials and systems become available.
Section 05
Stardust Giving
Responsibility also means remembering why Asteri exists. Through Stardust Giving, a portion of every purchase supports causes close to our family story. Baby loss support, women's wellbeing and red panda conservation.
Our Commitment
Built with care, not claims.
Responsibility is not a slogan for us. It is an ongoing commitment to ask better questions, choose better partners, reduce waste where we can, and be honest about where we are still improving.
As Asteri grows, we will share more about our sourcing, packaging, preservation methods, giving and impact. Every decision is made with intention. From the coffees we select to the way we present them.
And because responsibility is something we want you to feel as well as read, each bag is hand‑stamped with the Asteri Standard Mark. It is our quiet promise that the coffee inside has met the standards we hold ourselves to: integrity in sourcing, precision in roasting, and respect for the people and places behind every lot.
A small mark, but a meaningful one.
