AeroPress Guide
The AeroPress is precise, flexible and beautifully forgiving. It can create a clean filter-style cup, a richer concentrated brew, or something in between. Making it one of the most versatile ways to explore coffee.
At Asteri, we like the AeroPress for discovery. It allows you to experiment with grind, time, temperature and ratio, revealing different expressions of the same origin.

Add coffee
Add 15g of medium-fine ground coffee to the AeroPress.
Add water
Pour in 220g of hot water, making sure all the coffee is saturated.
Stir gently
Stir once or twice to ensure even contact between water and coffee.
Steep
Let the coffee brew for around 90 seconds.
Press slowly
Attach the cap, place the AeroPress over your cup or server, and press slowly for around 30 seconds.
Taste and adjust
AeroPress is flexible. Adjust grind, time, temperature or ratio to shape the cup.
How to Adjust Flavour
Change one variable at a time
Too sharp or sour
Grind slightly finer, use hotter water or increase brew time.
Too bitter or dry
Grind coarser, reduce brew time or lower the water temperature.
Too weak
Use more coffee or less water.
Too heavy
Use a paper filter, grind coarser or reduce agitation.
