Kiamabara Red
Fresh lemon and orange create a vivid opening, but the acidity is juicy and controlled rather than sharp. Peach develops through the centre of the cup, softened by the delicate tannic character of iced tea. As it cools, brown-sugar sweetness becomes more pronounced, leaving a clean, refreshing finish with the clarity and structure expected from an exceptional washed Nyeri coffee.

Kiamabara sits in Karatina Division, Nyeri County, receiving 1,200–1,500 mm of rain across high slopes between 1,700–1,900 m. Smallholder growers deliver ripe cherries to the Kiamabara Factory, part of the Mugaga Farmers Cooperative Society, where coffees are double-fermented under a Kenyan washed regimen and dried on raised beds. The cooperative structure ensures consistent processing and traceability across the SL and local hybrid varietals common to the area.

Good to know
Questions before you brew
Whole beans stay fresher for longer because grinding exposes more surface area to oxygen. If you own a burr grinder, always pick beans and grind just before you brew. Choose ground only if you don't have a grinder at home. When you pick ground, tell us the brew method (espresso, filter, cafetière, AeroPress, moka) and we grind Kiamabara Red to the exact particle size for that method.
